Biography
Darin Deterra, Ph.D., LMFT
 Let
me tell you a little bit about me. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
(LMFT license #MFC-24139), a certified hypnotherapist, a radio show host,
award-winning speaker and the
founder of
4DQ® and
Source Work.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the Union Institute, where I
wrote my Bachelor’s Thesis on Reichian Therapy and Bio-Energetics. I earned my
Ph.D. at Sierra University, where I wrote my PhD Dissertation on Body and Energy
Psychology.
I’ve traveled to Brazil nine times, studying with world-famous
healer John of God. I lead two-week guided tours to Brazil regularly. I’m a certified associate of International Healer Patti Conklin and I’m trained to give her
Cellular Cleansing process.
I’m trained in
Matrix Energetics,
levels 1-2,
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT),
Reconnective Healing
with Eric Pearl, levels 1-3 and
Empowerment Breath Work.
I’m also trained in non-violent communication,
intimacy and relationship work,
trauma work,
spiritual counseling,
health and
nutrition,
prosperity and success coaching,
public speaking
and
leadership training. These
are all components of the
4DQ System.
I’ve been in private practice for over 20 years. I have written and illustrated over two-dozen 4DQ and 4dk
books, including
Communication Bugs,
Transform the Beast,
The Four Walls of Unforgiveness
and
Everyone’s a Genius.
I’m a professional illustrator (most of the illustrations on this website are mine), a record producer and an award-winning songwriter. Three of my songs can be downloaded in the
