You may have questions and concerns about your health insurance, and whether or not Source Work, 4DQ Coaching or therapy services with me are covered.

I'm a licensed therapist in the state of California. If you reside in another state, you may be covered. Check with your Insurance Provider. I'm an out of network therapist, meaning that you will pay me in full. I will then email you a receipt, which you can submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement.

Many clients choose not to use their health insurance for therapy. Why? First of all, to use your insurance, we have to give you a diagnosis. The diagnosis "proves" to the insurance company that you have a problem that needs help.

Unfortunately, once that diagnosis is on your record, future insurance companies can refuse to cover you for a period of time, or give you higher rates, because of this "pre-existing condition."

In some cases, for example, if you are given a diagnosis of depression, which requires medication, insurance companies may refuse to give you a policy at all. This is similar to automobile insurance. If you have a car accident, this goes on your record and your insurance rates go up significantly.

As an alternative, you may wish to simply pay for your sessions out of pocket. For those who are self-employed, this is considered a medical tax deduction. Others may have medical reimbursement plans through their work, which enable them to use such funds toward therapy sessions.

The tools and resources that I will be providing you with are ones that you'll be able to use for the rest of your life.
